Payment Info
  • Online, you may pay with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or PayPal. We don't charge your credit card until we are ready to ship your order. 
  • If you prefer to pay by Money Order or traditional paper check, then add the items you wish to purchase to your shopping cart and print your compiled shopping list directly from the cart.  Mail this print-out along with your MO or check to the address on our contact page. Printing your order from the cart rather than writing your own list by hand helps to avoid confusion as to exactly what size, color, style, etc. you'd like.
  • We strongly encourage you to order online with our secure checkout system.  This will greatly speed up processing and delivery of your order--we don't have to wait for payment to arrive in the mail, then wait again for the check to clear.  Our online real-time inventory tracking also helps ensure that items that you want are in stock. If you send in your payment by mail, you take the chance that the items you want are no longer in stock when we receive your check.
Payment and shipping Policy for Shipments outside of the USA
  • We have recently changed our policy re shipments outside of the USA. For shipments outside of the USA, we will accept payment by direct deposit to our bank account or by a check or money order in American Dollars, or, at our discretion, by PayPal or credit card.  Customs charges levied by foreign countries are the responsibility of the purchaser and we do not collect them nor determine what they will be. We do NOT know in advance of shipping what the customs charges will be. Once we accept your payment and ship your order, the responsibility is yours. The shopping cart will give you only a UPS option, but we will send either by UPS or by United States Postal Service depending on what we deem appropriate at the time. We will let you know how your order is being shipped.

Return Policy
  • Items will be accepted for refund or credit or exchange within 30 days of shipping date if returned in unused condition and not damaged in any way.

  • Shipping and handling fees will not be refunded.

  • A copy of the packing slip/invoice confirmation must be included with your return.

  • Videos, compact discs and books are not returnable.
  • Special order items are not returnable. 
  • Closeout Sale items are not returnable.
  • Troupe orders will be assessed a 10% restocking fee if returned.
  • Shipments sent out of the USA will be assessed a 15% restocking fee if returned or if delivery is refused.
  • Returns received after the 10 day period or missing an invoice will be accepted for credit only and a 15% stocking fee will be assessed.
Sales Tax
  • Sales tax is charged only on orders sent within the state of New York.  New York laws require that we charge a sales tax on the full amount of the order. Because charges for shipping and handling are considered part of the product, by law these charges must be included when sales tax is calculated.
Shipping
  • Shipping charges are based on your zip code and order weight and are calculated in real-time during the checkout process.  Please add the items you'd like to buy to your cart, then begin the checkout process to see what your shipping charges will be.
  • We ship via United Parcel Service (UPS) Ground service.  This means that within the United States, your total delivery time may range from 1 to 8 business days from your order, depending on where you live and what day of the week you order.  Please see our map for UPS Ground time-in-transit from ShimmyShimmy to you. Shipping time will depend upon when we ship, not when you place an order. We usually ship within 48 hours of order placement.
  • If you're in a hurry, please choose an expedited UPS shipping option during the checkout process.  You may also let us know of your situation so that we can better accommodate you.
  • Please provide complete address information. If your address is wrong or incomplete, UPS will charge an additional $5.00 per package. This charge will be passed on to you.
  • Please be aware that if you are placing an order to be delivered to a country outside of the USA, that country may assess custom charges on your order. That is beyond our control, and we do not know what those charges will be. In certain cases, particularly to Canada, UPS will charge a "broker's fee" in addition to what you will pay us for shipping. That fee will be collected by UPS. We have no control over that fee, will not see any part of it and do not know what it will be.   • UPS will not deliver to a P.O. Box in this country or any other country. Please provide us with a physical location as a shipping address.
Lay-a-way
  • We accept lay-a-way orders. If you wish to make such a purchase, please add the items you'd like to buy to your cart, then begin the checkout process to see what your shipping charges will be.
  • Send the order to us with your first check or money order. The first check should be 20% of the full order amount. That amount will not be refunded should you cancel your order.
  • We will hold the order for you for a total of 3 months.
  • We will let you know when we receive the order and the first payment. We will let you know what the balance is each time you send a payment.
  • When you complete your payments, we will let you know and we will ship out the order.
